Just in Baxfest is not just craft beer. On Sunday, the lineup on the Vera Stage will be bolstered by Money and the Man.

Their sound is an intriguing blend of blues, garage rock, and indie influences, creating a unique and distinctive sound that doesn’t go unnoticed.

Who are these guys?

From the vibrant and diverse music scene of the Netherlands, emerges the dynamic rock duo Money & The Man. Founded in 2013, lead singer-guitarist Henk Wesselink and drummer Ymte Koekkoek captivate audiences with their raw energy and captivating performances.

Henk Wesselink and Ymte Koekkoek were classmates, but it wasn’t love at first sight. However, fate took a turn when they were locked in a studio together for a musical assignment in 2013. From that moment on, they became inseparable and destined to create music together.

In the following years, the duo crafted their sound, drawing inspiration from bands like The Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys. What started as fierce and energetic blues rock evolved into a refined mix of powerful guitar riffs and irresistible rhythms. They infuse their music with odd time signatures and unexpected tempo changes, giving their sound a clever twist.

Since their inception, the duo has embarked on an exciting journey, and with their unwavering determination and love for music, they continue to reach new heights. In February 2024, they will release their highly anticipated new album, with the first singles set to be released in September 2023. With their insatiable hunger for growth and their uncompromising passion for their craft, Money & The Man is ready to conquer the world with their irresistible rock ‘n’ roll.
