Hop Hooligans comes from the outskirts of Bucharest. AKA: Tiny Paris of the East! Since 2016, they have been “abusing” hops (their own words). Besides hops, they know how to abuse many other ingredients, because not only hoppy beers come out of their tanks: their stouts and fruited sours are also uncomparable. And that’s why we invited them to Just in Baxfest 2025.
Who are these guys?
Hop Hooligans are three friends from Bucharest who pledged to only brew beers they would drink themselves. Starting off with a range of hop forward beers, these guys now brew just about anything as long as it is ‘powerful, flavorful crazy shit’. So, a NEIPA can be followed by a tomato gose or a marshmallow stout – you name it!
Until 2018 they were releasing their beers in bottles until they made the bold move to switch to cans – as the first brewery in Romania. Suffice to say that we at Just in Baxfest strongly support this move: the Power is in the Can!
