We have known local hero Martijn Eggens for quite a long time. He founded his brewery the same year as Just in Beer was founded and two years after Baxbier was founded. Eggens is known for his excellent Belgian style beers (Tripel, Quadrupel, Blond) and of course his Barrel Ageing program which produces highly sought after beers. And even celebs has tasted his beers: Eggens beers were an impromptu part of their concert in Groningen back in 2022.
Who are these guys?
Martijn Eggens started brewing from his home kitchen (just like his dad once did). Eventually, he found that his 50L brewery wasn’t producing enough beers to satisfy everyone. That’s when Martijn turned to Baxbier – which coincidentally was located practically down the road from his home. Baxbier was able to brew Martijn’s recipes in larger quantities. So starting from 2017 his beers were available throughout the north of the Netherlands.
By now you can find Eggens’ beers throughout the Netherlands in the best craft beer stores around.
