On the docks of Harlingen harbor, on the shores of the Dutch Wetlands lies brewery Het Brouwdok. While the ships from the islands roll in, the men from Het Brouwdok brew their excellent beers: from blond to tripel, from bock to a Big Lebowski inspired Milk Stout: the Dude.

Who are these guys?
In 2009, Gerard starts brewing in his attic in Amsterdam. After moving to Harlingen, Gerard meets sailor Johan and together they start Het Brouwdok in Harlingen harbor. The brewery and its magnificent tap room still stand there today. Johan, however, can no longer be found in Harlingen; the call of the sea was too strong for him.
